What was the name of this movie?
There has been an old movie, the place on an island with algae monster, green creatures had fins like hands, the demolished peoples faces. That's all I really remember. I think it came in the 80s.
This is admittedly a wild guess: Humanoid From the Deep (1980) IMDb summary: in a Pacific Northwestern town, many fishermen their livelihoods by a new endangered salmon cannery built, many of the citizens support. Hank Slattery (Vic Morrow) and some others are for the canning factory, because this makes life more prosperity for them. Slattery is a racist and draws its unilateral aggression on a local fisherman Johnny Eagle (Anthony Penya) who is against the canning factory and wants to remain an independent business man. Some young couples in the city are attacked by strange animals, the men and women robbed torn and wrapped in seaweed. One night, one of the fishermen, Jim Hill (Doug McClure) notices his dog is gone, and when he discovered viscous torn as he is concerned because many other dogs were killed in the city the same way, except Johnny Eagles dog. Hank Slattery dog was also killed, and he expects that Johnny Eagle is responsible and kills his dog, an action that one into a fist fight Causes of local dances, where Dr. Susan Drake (Ann Turkel) is introduced for the community as a spokesperson for the new canning factory, to be built in the city. Drake has come to have created a scientific study of behavior, the local fish life and notices an unusual amount of chemicals, mutations, large Fish-like creatures that were actually in the process of mating with the female population of people in the city. When the humanoids from the deep to attack the citizens the annual salmon captured many of the conflicts that divide people in an effort to overcome together to fight the monsters.
